It just occurred to me; there's the slightest bit of irony to the fact that Republicans deify the man from their party who said "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!", yet many insist on constructing a literal fence across Mexico?
Is this just a matter of semantics, the former instance denoting Republicans' distaste of walls, whereas the latter instance represents their preference for fences? A bit of a conundrum.
